Community.
We were born out of the greater sense of community created by the devastation of Helene, and a desire to keep that alive. As we slip back into “normal life,” it’s easy to separate from the world around us and forget what really matters. The here and now. We want to experience that together.
Collaboration.
Everyone needs help and everyone has something to offer. We want everyone to find fulfillment in life by cultivating the resources of our community. The Collective exists as a reminder that life is complicated, and hard, and beautiful, and we’re all in it together. Work smarter, not harder; work together.
Access.
Life is not a meritocracy. The harsh reality is some of us enjoy privileges and opportunities that were gained by sheer luck, while others can work tirelessly for their entire lives and never gain access to those opportunities. While we don’t claim to have a solution this complicated societal problem, we’re dedicated to doing anything we can to tip the scales toward the margins and create a more level playing field.
